A tooth extraction is sometimes the best way to treat teeth that have been damaged by decay, oral injuries or gum disease
Extractions can provide you with relief from the pain and discomfort of a toothache

We offer multiple options for replacing extracted teeth, including dental implants and dentures
At our office, we offer only basic extractions. We do not provide surgical extractions for impacted teeth. With a basic extraction, you can get out of pain and back to smiling again in no time. We also offer a range of restorative treatments to fill in the missing space left behind after your extraction procedure.
A basic extraction is a non-surgical procedure. The process involves simply loosening your tooth and pulling it out with specialized dental tools. This method of extraction is only used on teeth that are fully erupted (non-impacted). If your tooth is impacted, we will refer you to a trusted oral surgeon for a surgical tooth extraction.
If your wisdom teeth are not growing into your mouth properly, or if you simply don’t have space in your mouth for them, they may need to be extracted to keep your mouth healthy. Tooth extractions are also necessary if your tooth has been severely damaged by tooth decay or an oral injury, and can’t be saved with a root canal. Periodontal (gum) disease can also lead to permanent tooth damage, and may require you to have one or more teeth extracted.
If you have a serious toothache or have a tooth that is grayish or otherwise discolored, it may be dead or dying, and it may not be able to be saved with a root canal. In this case, a tooth extraction may be necessary.
For wisdom tooth extractions, look for signs and symptoms like pain and discomfort near your rear teeth, gum swelling and inflammation, and jaw pain or swelling. Symptoms such as these may indicate that you need the tooth to be extracted.
